Ok, this is how this forum is going to work for now.. The guidelines may be changed and the way the forum operates may be changed in the future..
Only moderators and above can post new topics. This will be done at least once per week and the topics will be from current headlines.
The Rules:
1) No name calling or derogatory remarks or name calling in posts. This may be a grey area though. Use your good judgement. If you're going to call someone a liar, please refrain from "YOU'RE A GOD D*****D F****NG LIAR!!"
1a) (Keep the profanity to a minimum, let's prove to everyone that college students can be mature  )
2) If you quote a news source or a statistic, and someone requests that you provide proof of that, please provide that proof. Asking them to research it is just plain rude.
3) If you wish to quote someone's post in order to make a point by point rebuttal do not simply quote the whole post and then take off. Break down their post to each point and then make your rebuttal on that point and then move to the next quoted point.
4) All posts on a specific topic should adhere to that topic.
5) No pointing out spelling or grammar errors in posts (it's not relevant).
6) Participants in the Debate Arena must refrain from making generalizations about all people of any given political, religious, or philosophical persuasion.

Anyone posts that do not follow these guideline will be deleted. If too many problems arise in this forum, it will be made a private "group-only" forum to facilitate easier moderation.
